Description

This is an estate with a view of Mount Olympus, the Thermaikos gulf and the Anthemounda valley, characterized by an environment of traditional architecture (stone and wood). It is famous for its local recipes, local meats, cheeses and vegetables from the wider area of Peristera, while it offers live music every Sunday. In the framework of the philosophy of the "Afanos Estate" is the offer of quality products and wines of Greek production. The historic church of Agios Andreas in the village square can host the sacrament of marriage or baptism. One of the oldest and most important Byzantine churches in the Balkans, built in the 8th century and a UNESCO heritage site. The Afanos family tavern has been operating since 2021 and is provided as a venue for events and baptisms. In a fenced outdoor green space of 3 acres, it has the potential to accommodate up to 400 people. The tradition is kept alive through local flavors and wood-fired hull techniques. The guest house has 12 spacious rooms (4 suites with attic that can accommodate up to 5 people, 4 triple and 4 double rooms). All rooms are particularly large and each one is decorated in a different style. Stone walls, antique lamps and many other interesting objects give a unique warmth that is enhanced by the lit fireplace in each room. Expensive materials and warm colors tied with a unique aesthetic. All rooms and suites have a TV, kitchenette, air conditioning, fireplace and access to the balcony. They are very bright and have excellent views to many points of interest.
